CAMP SMITH--New York National Guard Staff Sgt. Nicole McKenzie the supply sergeant assigned to the 1156th Engineer Co 53rd Troop Command secures a forklift onto a commercial trailer headed to South Carolina to assist disaster response forces in the wake of Hurricane Helene Camp Smith N.Y. Oct. 3 2024. The New York National Guard mobilized 20 Soldiers with 17 pieces of heavy equipment from the 204th Engineer Battalion to support the South Carolina Army Guard.
