MENANDS--Major General Michel Natali, the assistant adjutant general, Army, and New York Army National Guard Command Sgt. Major Edwin Garris salute after placing a wreath from the White House at the gravesite of President Chester Arthur during a ceremony at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands New York on October 4 2024. Since 1967 military officers have placed a wreath from the current president at the graves of their predecessors on their birthday.
