New 53rd Troop Command leader

CAMP SMITH --New York Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Isabel Rivera Smith accepts the flag of the 53rd Troop Command from Major General Ray Shields, the adjutant general of New York during change of command ceremonies at Camp Smith Training Site near Peekskill on Saturday, October 19. Smith, who also serves as director of joint staff, assumed the command from Major General Jack James who is taking command of the 42nd Infantry Division.The 53rd Troop Command oversees more than 4500 Soldiers in combat service and combat service support units stationed across New York.
