NEW YORK-- Swedish naval officers pose with members of the New York Naval Militia on board Patrol Boat 440 in New York Harbor on June 3,2025. The Swedish military delegation spent the week visiting with New York Naval Militia members in New York City-- where they met with city emergency officials as well-- and then on the Niagara River and Lake Ontario observing Exercise Empire Challenge, a border security exercise held in conjunction with the Coast Guard, and other law enforcement agencies.
