LATHAM--Rear Admiral MaryEtta Nolan the commander of the New York Naval Militia salutes following the ceremony at which she assumed command of the New York Naval Militia on Nov. 21 2025 at Division of Military and Naval Affairs headquarters in Latham. Nolan is the 25th commander of the 3200-member force and the first woman to hold the role and the rank of state rear admiral.
