NEW YORK-- New Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment also known as the "Fighting 69th" lead the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City on March 17 2026. The 69th began the celebration at St. Patrick's Cathedral with a ceremonial mass and marched uptown on Fifth Avenue from 44th to 79th Street. The Regiment was joined during the march by New York National Guard leaders from across New York State and the 42nd Infantry Division Band.
