LINKOPING, SWEDEN--Army Lt. Col. Eric Fritz the commander of the New York Army National Guards 3rd Battalion 142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion conducts one of a series of classes on Army air assault doctrine conducted for Swedish Air Force aviators at Malmen Air Base outside of Linkoping Sweden on August 26 2026. Fritz and three other New York Army National Guard aviators spent two days training their Swedish counterparts in air assault techniques as part of the State Partnership Program relationship between the Swedish military and New York National Guard.
