LAKE GEORGE VILLAGE --New York Army National Guard Major General Ray Shields the adjutant general of New York right administers the oath of office to Major Alex Hamond during Hammonds promotion ceremony at Fort William Henry Museum in Lake George Village New York on August 25 2026. The replica of the 1757 fort was rebuilt on the site of the August 1757 siege of Fort William Henry which figures in James Fenimore Coopers classic book Last of the Mohicans.
