CARLISLE BARRACKS, PENNSYLVANIA--New York Army National Guard officers who graduated from the U.S. Army War College on Saturday June 26, 2026 pose for a photograph following the ceremony at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.
They are, from left: Brig. Gen. Aaron Lefton, commander of the 53rd Troop Command, Lt. Col. Adam Bojarski, commander of the 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry; Lt. Col. Eric Fritz, commander of the 3rd Battalion, 142nd Assault Helicopter Battalion; Lt. Col. John Giroux, the Active Guard and Reserve personnel manager for the New York Army National Guard; Lt. Col. Bryan Reed, joint operations officer, and New York Army National Guard Chief of Staff Mark Frank who attended the ceremony.
The officers completed a two-year program resulting in a Master of Strategic Studies Degree. The demanding course required numerous hours of reading, writing, and group projects spanning two years of remote learning and two resident sessions.
