Major General Ray Shields Jr., the Adjutant General of New York

Major General Ray Shields, assumed duties as the 54th Adjutant General for the State of New York on October 4, 2018. In this position, General Shields is responsible for providing trained and ready forces for both state and federal missions.

Major General Shields also serves as Commander of the New York Army National Guard.
