Naval Militia Team Recognized

LATHAM -- New York Naval Militia Capt. Ten Eyck "Trip" Powell presents the 2013 Josephthal Trophy for the Naval Militia Unit of the Year to the New York Naval Militia's Personnel Action Team. The unit was recognized for the work they did mobilizing Naval Militia personnel during Hurricane Sandy and ensuring that Naval Militia personnel were accounted for. Accepting the award is Commander Dave Hawley of Troy, NY. Also pictured are QM1 Jeff Nuzzaco (Schenectady),MT1 Bob Morisseau (Albany), CPO Art Dott (Albany), and CWO3 Larry Cassidy (Yorktown Heights). The award is named for Naval Militia Rear Admiral Louis M. Josephthal who set up an endowment to recognize Naval Militia members.
