FORT HAMILTON-A New York Guard volunteer, and a New York Army National Guard Soldier receive Emergency Medical Technician training certificates during a ceremony conducted at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn. One hundred and fifty members of the New York Army and Air National Guard, the New York Naval Militia and the New York Guard took the EMT recertification course in February at Fort Hamilton. The training renewed the certificates they had earned during the COVID-19 pandemic when the state arranged to train over 300 members of New York's Military Forces so they could work in nursing facilities.
