BOONVILLE-- Soldiers assigned to the New York National Guard Honor Guard carry the remains of U.S. Army Pvt. Harland Hennessey during a memorial service in Boonville, NY on Aug. 23. Hennessy, who died in a Japanese prison camp during World War II after surviving the infamous Batan Death March, was buried overseas in a common grave and remained unidentified for more than 80 years before being identified through DNA and dental records.
