NICHOLS--New York Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer Charles Rodda helps residents of Nichols unload supplies for an evacuation shelter from a UH-60 on Thursday night. The Town of Nichols was cut off by flood waters preventing vehicular traffic from reaching its inhabitants. The Guard helicopters airlifted in 11,000 pounds of food, water, and blankets for residents.
