FORT POLK-- New York Army National Guard infantrymen with Co. B 1st Battalion 69th Infantry rest during a rare lull in training at the Armys Joint Readiness Training Center Fort Polk La. July 23 2016. The infantrymen joined more than 3000 Soldiers from New York and 2000 Soldiers from other state Army National Guard units active Army and Army Reserve troops as part of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team task force. The Soldiers will hone their skills and practice integrating combat operations ranging from infantry troops engaging in close combat with the enemy to artillery and air strikes July 9-30 2016.
