SARATOGA NATIONAL CEMETERY--New York Army National Guard Sgt. Nicklaus Hilts, presents a U.S. Flag to a family member of Army Veteran Lawrence Ostwald during his burial at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, in Schuylerville, N.Y. on December 15, 2017. According to the Center for Disease Control, Carbon Monoxide (CO) exposure accounts for an estimated 15,000 emergency department visits and 500 unintentional deaths in the United States each year. Gas furnaces, gas water heaters, wood stoves and other combustion-based heating units generate carbon monoxide as a by-product of their operation.CO can't be seen or smelled and the effects of high levels of CO can be easily overlooked or mis-diagnosed. GREECE--New York Army National Guard Soldiers deploy the Tiger Dam flood control system along the shores of Braddock Bay in the Town of Greece, N.Y. in response to rising waters on Lake Ontario. The system consists of flexible fabric tubes which are connected and filled with water. The tubes replace sandbags as a flood control mechanism. Since being ordered to assist in flood mitigation duties by Gov. Andrew M.
