GRIFFISS TECH PARK--Major General Patrick Murphy ( left) the Adjutant General of New York and Col. Timothy LaBarge the commander of the 105th Airlift Wing presented a 105th Airlift Wing poster to Oneida County Aviation Commissioner Russell Stark in recognition of the support that Griffiss International Airport and the Million Air company provide to the wings training program. BUFFALO-- Soldiers of the 152nd Engineer company manuever at annual training in a video they prepared for submission in the first New York National Guard video competition. Their video was picked as the best unit video by Major General Patrick Murphy, the Adjutant General of New York. STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE--The remains of New York Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Joseph G. Lemm are transferred from a C-17 to a hearse during a ceremony on Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 at Stewart Air National Guard Base by members of the 105th Airlift Wing. Lemm was killed in action while deployed to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan on December 21st 2015. Staff Sgt. SYRACUSE--An MQ-9 remotely piloted aircraft operated by the New York Air National Guards 174th Attack Wing takes to the air from the runway at Syracuse Hancock International Airport in Syracuse N.Y. on Wednesday Dec. 162015. This was the first time a military RPA operated from an air field used by both military and civilian aircraft. Hancock Field Air National Guard Base the home of the 174th shares the field with the commercial airport. SLEEPY HOLLOW-- This Memorial Stone in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery memorializes 40 members of the New York Guard who died during the world wide influenza epedimic in 1918 while on duty guarding the New York City water system. The stone was hewn from the aqueduct quarry in upstate New York by the members of the First Provisional Regiment and placed at a site purchased by William Rockefeller for the burial of those members of the Regiment that were homeless or did not otherwise have a place to be buried. Airmen trained in Level A Hazardous Material suits used their equipment to test for chemical biological radiological and nuclear (CBRN) contamination. Exercise Global Dragon is a two-week long course taking place at the Guardian Center in Perry Georgia. SARATOGA SPRINGS --This painting by 19th century military artist James Walker, depicting the May 13-14, 1864 Battle of Resaca, in Georgia, was "lost" following the demolition of a New York National Guard armory in New York City in 1959. The painting, stored at West Point before being turned back over to the New York National Guard, was actually mislabeled as the "Battle of Gettysburg." Governor Andrew M.
