A full Bambi Bucket holds 560 gallons and weights over two tons. Pilots, crews and maintenance personnel train with the bucket every spring in order to remain ready to support the New York State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. CAMP ARIFJAN--Sixteen Soldiers assigned to the 42nd Infantry Division headquarters who deployed with the division to Iraq in 2005 and are currently deployed to Camp Arifjan Kuwait gathered for a group photo on May 16 2020. Arctic Edge 2020 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command exercise scheduled every two years. GLENVILLE- Airmen from the 109th Airlift Wing provide funeral honors for New York Air National Guard Staff Sgt. George Girtler on January 31, 2020 at St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, N.Y. Girtler, a mechanic in the wing, died of a pulmonary embolism on January 11 while deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica with other members of the 109th Airlift Wing.
